What we believe
the guest is god.
India has always lived by three Sanskrit words: atithi devo bhava, the guest is god. The Travel Saints is built on that ancient courtesy.
We believe the India worth travelling for is not behind a ticket line. It is in a family kitchen, a master’s workshop, a courtyard after the gates have closed. It opens for those who arrive by invitation, with someone who knows the way.
So we built a company of guides, the Saints, and three ways to receive India:
- Civilisations, the past: the eras that shaped India, still alive in its food, crafts and music
- Celebrations, the present: India as it lives and rejoices today, at its weddings and family tables
- Pilgrimages, the eternal: the timeless India, experienced through mind, body and soul
And running through all three, India’s oldest gift: the knowledge of how to be well. Yoga, Ayurveda and meditation have their own home in our Wellness journeys, and a quiet place in every other. We believe a journey should return you more rested than it found you.
